Kuol is a highly rated young forward, who turned 18 on Thursday.

He has already won his first Australia senior call-up, and it’s claimed a number of European clubs are already expressing an interest.

According to The Athletic, Newcastle are one of the clubs pushing for a deal ahead of January, and they are hoping to hold off interest from other clubs.

The youngster has scored four times in nine senior appearances since graduating to the Mariners’ first team last year.

The Magpies are said to be pushing for a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

According to Football Insider, Howe wants to make a move for Mudryk during the January window after resisting a move for a winger late in the summer window.

Brentford are said to have had a bid worth £26million rejected for Mudryk, who could cost £30million or move in January, especially with transfers usually being more expensive in the winter.

Mudryk is a versatile winger, able to play across the front line.
