Newcastle United injury boost as attacker returns from injury - set to be on the bench v Bournemouth

Newcastle United have been handed an injury boost ahead of this afternoon's Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Jacob Murphy is in Newcastle United's matchday squad for this afternoon's Premier League clash at home to AFC Bournemouth.

The 28-year-old was named on the bench for last weekend's 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest but Eddie Howe described the winger as "unusable" because of a tight calf he felt in the warm-up.

Asked on Friday if Murphy will feature in the squad against the Cherries, Howe replied: “You need to listen to my words here.. he has not trained yet.”

However, the winger has been spotted arriving at St James' Park and is set to be on the bench.
