The East Stand at St James’ Park has been given an Adidas makeover, much to the delight of Newcastle United supporters.

Adidas officially returned as the Magpies’ official kit partner in the summer in a multi-year deal worth a reported £30million. In recent months, the home, away and third has been launched, all of which have proven extremely popular.

Additionally, as part of the agreement, the club store at the Gallowgate End is undergoing a major refurbishment and due to re-open next month while Adidas signage is displayed all around St James’ Park.

And that has only increased since United’s last game on Tyneside - a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur on September 1 - with the colour of the East Stand seats changed to project the iconic Adidas three stripes.

A photo of the makeover was leaked on social media on Thursday night before Newcastle’s official X account posted an image of their own.

Speaking about partnership, Nick Craggs, Global Football General Manager at Adidas, said previously: "We are excited to announce that adidas and Newcastle United Football Club have once again joined forces in a new partnership that aims to drive excitement both on and off the pitch. This collaboration brings together two iconic names known for their history, innovation, and commitment to excellence within football.

"As Newcastle United Football Club embarks on a new chapter for the men's and women's team, adidas is honoured to provide them cutting-edge sportswear technology. Our previous partnership delivered some of the most iconic kits of the 90s and we look forward to creating many more unforgettable moments, inspiring fans and players alike."
