According to the MailOnline, Newcastle are eyeing a deal for Koln centre-back Timo Hubers, who has made 19 appearances so far this season.

Hubers is moving into the last year of his contract from this summer, and report claims a number of Premier League clubs are interested.

Newcastle are also being linked with another Bundesliga star in Union Berlin frontman Taiwo Awoniyi.

The Nigerian striker has scored 17 time across all competitions this season and is being tipped to move on to bigger things.
