Newcastle United linked to long-term Bundesliga target as they reportedly suffer double deal rejection
Newcastle United have received a double blow to their hopes of adding to their defensive ranks - according to media outlets in France and Spain.

Sevilla’s Diego Carlos is top of the list of priorities for the Magpies hierarchy as they look to complete a move for the Brazilian centre-back in time for this weekend’s game at Leeds United.

French outlet Foot Mercato have also reported that Monaco have rejected a Magpies bid for highly-rated defender Benoit Badiashile.
Meanwhile, one name that has returned to the radar is Atalanta’s German left-back Robin Gosens, who TalkSPORT believe could complete a £29million move to St James Park by the end of the week.
That suggestion is backed up by Italian news outlet CalicoMercato, who suggest the Magpies will offer the German international a signing-on fee of around £3million.
