Newcastle United linked with shock transfer move for Atletico Madrid and Chelsea stars

Spanish outlet La Razon have reported the Magpies are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options and a highly ambitious move for the Slovenian international has been discussed.
Oblak - a former team-mate of United star Kieran Trippier - joined Atleti in July 2014 and has gone on to become one of the world’s most consistent goalkeepers during his time in the Spanish capital.

Hide AdTrippier spoke about Oblak in a recent interview with the BBC, saying: “He is one of the best keepers in the world.
“I think he would be unbelievable in the Premier League. Obviously, who could he go to, that’s the question?
“I have had conversations with him about the Premier League, he has always asked me questions. Of course, I would love to see him in the Premier League. “You never know, you never know what could happen.”
Magpies linked with Chelsea forward - but Dortmund also keen
Timo Werner is reportedly set to leave Chelsea this summer - and Newcastle have been heavily linked with a move for the German international.

Hide AdSky Germany have suggested the Magpies will face major competition from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, who see Werner as a possible replacement for Erling Haaland.
RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi is also said to be under consideration after scoring 14 goals in 18 games for the Austrian Bundesliga clubs.
Hammers provide competition for Serie A defender
Newcastle World revealed Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic was on Newcastle’s radar during the January transfer window.
However, the Magpies were not the only Premier League club interested in the Serbian international.

Hide AdItalian journalist Angelo Giorgetti has suggested West Ham United agreed a deal with Fiorentina and held talks with Milenkovic, who was not keen on a move to the Premier League and remained in Florence.
He said: “I really don’t know. I can only say that Milenkovic is a high-level defender who rejected West Ham last summer – the deal was practically done – and is very close to Vlahovic.”
Newcastle eyeing MLS star
French news outlet Jeunes Footeux have suggested Newcastle are one of several clubs monitoring Montreal Impact star Djordje Mihailovic.
The USA international was one of the MLS’ leading players last season after scoring four goals and providing 14 assists in 34 appearances for his side.

Hide AdNewcastle are said to be showing an interest in the 23-year-old but face competition from Premier League rivals Leeds United and Everton.
German duo Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, Ligue 1 outfit Nice and Serie A trio Bologna, Atalanta and Roma have also been linked with a move for the attacking midfielder.
