Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Ajax ace Mohammed Kudus. The attacking midfielder has caught the eye at the World Cup with Ghana and is poised to become a man in-demand when he returns from Qatar.
According to a report by 90min, Eddie Howe’s side have ‘asked’ about his availability on the back of his recent performances. He has scored twice in as many games for his country at the tournament and is proving what he can do on the big stage.

However, there will be competition for his signature and other clubs have been mentioned as potential suitors as well. Fellow Premier League clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also seemingly in the frame.
Kudus, 22, was snapped up by Ajax back in July 2020 and penned a long-term deal with the Eredivisie champions. He has since adapted well to life in Amsterdam and has made a total of 63 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with 15 goals and six assists.
Prior to his move to Holland, he gained experience as a youngster playing his football in Denmark with FC Nordsjælland. He fired 14 goals in 57 games for the Danish Superliga outfit before his most recent transfer two years ago.
Kudus would be an ideal addition for Newcastle down the line as he is young, has potential to get even better and has proved that he can compete against top defenders at the World Cup. The Toon Army have the chance to bolster their ranks in January and need to carefully weigh up who they need as they look ahead to the second-half of the season.
