Newcastle United make Carabao Cup announcement amid ‘scandalous’ Manchester United decision
Newcastle United will be backed by a sold-out away end when they take on Manchester United in the Carabao Cup at the start of next month.
After knocking out English and European champions Manchester City in the previous round, Eddie Howe’s side were rewarded with a trip to Old Trafford on Wednesday, November 1.

In the same month, the Magpies also take on Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, as well as further league fixtures against Bournemouth and Chelsea.
Indeed, the Man United cup clash has attracted criticism from the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST).
Not only will the match kick-off at a later time of 8:15pm - meaning supporters can’t return to the North East via public transport on the night - but an adult ticket is priced at £39, which is £9 more than the Red Devils charged for the previous round when they beat Crystal Palace.
“£39 for @ManUtd away in the @Carabao_Cup is scandalous and makes a mockery of the £30 @premierleague away ticket price cap,” NUST posted on X. “Add in a ridiculous kick off time - match-going fans taken for granted time and time again.”

It read: “Backed by more than 7,000 Geordies at Old Trafford! Tickets for #NUFC‘s Carabao Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United have sold out. Thank you for your incredible support.”
