Both Newcastle United and Manchester United were understood to have enquired about Pulisic 12 months ago but neither approach progressed.

The Magpies were contacted regarding Pulisic earlier this summer but informed the Blues they had no intention of reigniting their interest.

Pulisic is due in Milan on Wednesday to undergo his medical and finalise his departure from Chelsea, four years after arriving from Borussia Dortmund for £57m.
