Newcastle United took another significant step towards cementing Premier League survival on Friday evening with a 1-0 win over Wolves at St. James’ Park.

The Magpies are now 10 points clear with seven games left to play, and would be forgiven for having at least one eye on the upcoming summer transfer window.

With their new owners’ vast wealth behind them, it’s expected to be a busy summer on Tyneside, and we’ve gathered up all of the latest pieces of transfer speculation involving the Magpies below...

Magpies keen on Bowen

Newcastle United are weighing up a summer move for West Ham winger and reported Liverpool target Jarrod Bowen, according to 90min.

The Toon Army are expected to be busy this summer as their new owners get ready to flex their considerable financial muscle in an effort to bolster Eddie Howe’s squad.

And it is understood that Bowen, who has regularly been linked with a move to Anfield in recent transfer windows, has emerged as a priority target for the Magpies - to the extent that they are said to be “ready to compete” with Liverpool for his signature in the coming months.

Strasbourg centre-back Gerzino Nyamsi is being “watched closely” by Newcastle United ahead of a potential summer move.

As per RMC Sport, Eddie Howe’s men have their “sights” set on the 6’5” defender, but could face competition from the likes of West Ham and Napoli if they are to complete a deal.

It is suggested that the 25-year-old could provide an affordable option at the heart of defence, with the likes of Ciaran Clark and Federico Fernandez viewed as potential departures.

Henderson wants out

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is reportedly pushing for an exit from the club, with Newcastle one of six sides said to be chasing a deal for the stopper.

According to an update from Stretty News, the England international is growing “increasingly frustrated” at being forced to play second fiddle to David De Gea, and “would welcome” a summer exit.

The report even goes as far as to suggest that Henderson is now “actively” seeking a way out of Old Trafford in the coming months.
