Newcastle United net spend vs Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal - since PIF takeover

How PIF's transfer net spend since their takeover at Newcastle United compares to rival Premier League clubs

The January transfer window is open for business and Newcastle United are reportedly aiming to bring in at least two players over the next three weeks.

Some of the concern spreading around the Magpies fanbase following defeats against the likes of Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Luton Town may well have receded following Saturday's FA Cup win at Sunderland - but there is still a clear need to strengthen Eddie Howe's ranks over the remainder of the window.

Links with Manchester City and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips continue to dominate the headlines as the former Leeds United man struggles to gain regular game-time under Pep Guardiola. United are also said to be keen to add a defender and a versatile forward to their squad and that could mean adding to the considerable net spend that has taken place since the PIF-led takeover at St James Park in October 2021 - but how does that net spend compare to Newcastle's Premier League rivals?
