‘Supporters have the right’ - Lewis Hall on ‘negativity’ surrounding Newcastle United
Lewis Hall has arguably been Newcastle United’s best player in recent Premier League fixtures.
Lewis Hall has backed the right for supporters to voice their opinion regarding Newcastle United’s underwhelming Premier League campaign.

However, in a fierce defence of his team, the 21-year-old insisted the Magpies are blocking out the negativity as they aim to kick-start their stuttering season. Hall is arguably Newcastle’s most in-form star and played through the pain barrier in the 3-1 win over Burnley.
Injuries have left United looking threadbare in defence but Hall has stood up when counted at left-back. Another excellent display at Turf Moor has Newcastle fans calling the youngster a shoo-in for the World Cup with England.
Lewis Hall ‘completely honest’ about Newcastle United negativity
When asked about Eddie Howe claiming there is too much negativity surrounding the team, Hall said: “If I'm completely honest, I'd probably agree with him (Howe) a little bit. But it's also (about) understanding that we've not been our best this year. If you look at the league table in terms of how tight it is and what we've done in previous seasons, we were in a similar position last season.
“We went on to put a big run of games together. That's what we're looking to do now. We know that we want to be a lot higher in the table than we are now but tonight (against Burnley) was a good start to pushing forward.
“Whenever you play for any club, you're going to have people talking negatively and positively. So it's just about us sort of keeping it tied together and sort of just focusing on ourselves and sort of giving the feedback between ourselves.”

Despite disagreeing with the sentiment, Hall still backed supporters being able to voice their concerns. He added: “Supporters have the right to be willing to give their opinion. Everyone should be able to have a voice. But I think for us, it's about not necessarily listening to it.
“Some of it (the negativity) you can understand where people are coming from. Personally, I wouldn't agree with it. But like I said, I always focus on what I can do and what the manager wants from us as a team. That’s the most important thing.”
