Newcastle United ‘not sure’ if winger will play again this season

Eddie Howe is unsure if Ryan Fraser will play for Newcastle United again this season.
The Scotland international picked up a hamstring injury during the recent 1-0 victory over Wolves, which forced him to withdraw after 13 minutes.

Hide AdFraser underwent a scan, and while the prognosis wasn’t serious, it has been enough to rule him out of wins against Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Norwich City.
And with just four games left to play - Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Burnley - time is running out for Fraser to return before the campaign is out.
Howe said: “Ryan has been on the grass but he’s not trained. We’re taking it careful with him. Hamstring injuries can be difficult.
“Will he play again this season? I’m not sure at this moment in time. But it’s not a serious injury, it won’t keep him out too long.”
The 28-year-old has played 26 times this season, scoring two and providing three assists.
