Newcastle United showed their fighting spirit to hold Premier League leaders Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.
It was the Magpies’ second successive 0-0 draw to end of the Gunners’ record of seven straight league wins at home and scoring in every game this campaign.
Eddie Howe named one change from the side that played out a goalless draw against Leeds United, with Callum Wilson recalled in place of Chris Wood.
Our writer Jordan Cronin was at the Emirates Stadium - and here are his Newcastle player ratings:
1. Nick Pope - 7
Huge save to deny Nketiah in the closing stages..Flapped at some crosses but ultimately kept his 11th clean sheet of the campaign.
2. Kieran Trippier - 7
Martinelli got in behind the right-back early on but he minimised the Brazilian’s threat. Delivered a couple of dangerous set pieces but could have better with others.
3. Fabian Schar - 8
Was brave in carrying the ball out from defence. Read the game well, albeit a few nervy moments.
4. Sven Botman - 8
Maintained his unbeaten start in a Newcastle shirt. So cool in possession after spraying a couple passes out wide. Defensively solid.
