Newcastle United extended their unbeaten Premier League run to nine matches with a 2-1 victory at Southampton.
Eddie Howe’s side fell behind to Stuart Armstrong’s header but hit back through Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes.
It was Wood’s first goal for the club but Bruno’s backheeled winner stole the headlines on his full debut since arriving from Lyon in January.
The Magpies are now 10 points above the relegation zone, inflicting only a second home defeat on the Saints, with Chelsea to come next on Sunday afternoon.
Here’s our writer Jordan Cronin’s player ratings from the victory on the South Coast:

1. Martin Dubravka - 7
Didn’t have a lot to deal with, and the same went for his opposite number Forster, until the final 15 minutes. Tipped over Livramento’s cross-come-shot then Armstrong’s strike injury time. | Getty Images

2. Emil Krafth - 7
Was a real weakness for Newcastle in the first-half as the Saints enjoyed a flurry of attacks down the right. But as the game progressed, Krafth got better - and wiser. Game-saving interception in the 88th minute. Photo: Stu Forster

3. Fabian Schar - 7
Twice went down in the first-half to receive treatment but battled on to help Newcastle earn another massive three points. | Getty Images

4. Dan Burn - 9
Another colossus display from the January signing, he’s been outstanding in each of the six games he’s played. England call-up, why not? There aren’t many defenders in better form. Photo: Stu Forster
