Newcastle United progressed into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup with a 2-0 victory over Leicester City at St James’ Park.
Dan Burn opened the scoring on the hour-mark - his first goal for his boyhood club - before Joelinton made it 2-0 12 minutes later.

5. Dan Burn - 8
He’s from Blyth… what a moment and what a goal! A finish any striker would be proud as he slotted the ball into the bottom corner with his weaker right foot. Could have opened the scoring earlier with a free header from Trippier’s free-kick.
6. Bruno Guimaraes - 8
Missed three decent chances from the edge of the box in the first half - two he fired and one that Ward saved. Heavily involved, as always. Dictated play.
7. Sean Longstaff - 6
Missed a sitter just two minutes in and had two other efforts saved by Ward that he probably should have scored. Nevertheless, worked hard and pressed well.
8. Joe Willock - 7
Leicester couldn’t keep track on Willock, particularly in the first-half, as he overlapped Joelinton. Showed plenty of endeavour and energy.
