Here are our Newcastle United player ratings:

1. Lukas Hornicek - 6
Got a hand to Johan Manzambi’s header but couldn’t keep it out. Hasn’t looked as convincing as he did pre-international break but made a great save to deny Ross Barkley. | Getty Images

2. Lewis Miley - 5.5
In no man’s land as Johan Manzambi was left unmarked to head home the opener. Came into the game a little more in the second half with crosses into the box. | AFP via Getty Images

3. Malick Thiaw - 4.5
All over the place defensively in the first half. Had moments when he just watched the ball go past him. Looked awkward in other moments. Booked for a clumsy challenge on Ibrahim Mbaye. | Getty Images

4. Sven Botman - 6
Had the odd iffy moment but was overall fairly solid. Nearly scored for a second game in a row but was denied by the outstretched arm of Zio Suzuki. | AFP via Getty Images
