Martin Dubravka - 7

Commanding performance from Dubravka, pulling out saves and claiming a number of crosses to relieve the pressure on his defensive teammates.

Javier Manquillo - 7

Manquillo was at fault for two goals at Leicester but the Spaniard could barely be faulted at Anfield against his former club.

Fabian Schar - 6

Had a slight injury issue during the week but should be okay to start on Sunday. Been in good form at the back under Howe.Had a slight injury issue during the week but should be okay to start on Sunday. Been in good form at the back under Howe.

Collided with Hayden, where Liverpool controversially levelled in the first-half. Would have conceded a penalty had Mo Salah not fired home the loose ball from his tackle on Sadio Mane.

Bounced back from his mistake at Leicester City. Absorbed plenty of Liverpool pressure to put in a more captain-liked performance.

Jamal Lewis - 6

A performance to sum up the brilliance and not-so brilliance of Shelvey. Scored a seventh-minute screamer before gifting the ball to Mane in the build-up to Salah’s goal.

Was a real threat down the left-hand side. Provided the cross which led to Shelvey’s opener and was controversially denied a penalty under a challenge from Alexander-Arnold.

Jacob Murphy - 8

On for Lewis 62: Got into some decent areas down the right. Could have done better for Leicester's third. On for Lewis 62: Got into some decent areas down the right. Could have done better for Leicester's third.

Put in a tireless display down the right-hand side. Supported Manquillo and offered a lot going forward. Aimed a left-footed shot narrowly wide in the second-half.

Allan Saint-Maximin - 7

Caused the Liverpool defence problems with his electric pace, which raises the question - is he best suited to play down the middle?

Joelinton - 7

Steady display after replacing Lewis early on.
