Newcastle United take on Arsenal in the Premier League this evening hoping to record their first win at the Emirates since November 2010 when Andy Carroll's header sealed a 1-0 victory.
And having not scored a goal at the North London stadium for 10 years, the odds are truly stacked against Eddie Howe's Magpies, who are unbeaten in five matches but face a Gunners side that have been free scoring of late, netting 11 goals in their previous two league fixtures.
Having drawn 2-2 against AFC Bournemouth last weekend without a recognised senior striker, Howe's side are set to bolstered by the return of club-record signing Alexander Isak after a recurring groin problem forced him to miss the last three games.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock is also in line for a return to the matchday squad. The 24-year-old hasn't featured since November and been restricted to just six appearances this term having suffered from a hamstring and an Achilles injury.
While Willock is unlikely to start against his former club, Howe has a decision to make in regards to Isak. There's also the small matter of who starts at left-back with supporters hoping to see Tino Livramento given an opportunity ahead of Dan Burn.
For the first time in a while, Howe has a couple of selection headache and here, NewcastleWorld predicts the Newcastle United starting XI Howe will name:
1. GK: Loris Karius
Starts his first Premier League game since May 2018.
2. RB: Kieran Trippier
Trippier is indispensable, whether that be at defending or going forward, where he has provided 11 assists in all competitions.
3. CB: Fabian Schar
Schar hurt his wrist in the closing stages against AFC Bournemouth but has recovered quickly. Has trained this week.
4. CB: Sven Botman
While the focus has been on Dan Burn in recent weeks, the Dutchman shouldn't escape criticism.
