Newcastle United predicted XI v West Ham: Eddie Howe dealt injury bombshell as key man returns

Newcastle United predicted starting XI v West Ham United as Eddie Howe's side look to keep their European qualification hopes firmly alive.

Newcastle United have 10 Premier League games remaining - starting with a home match against European contenders West Ham United this afternoon (kick-off 12:30pm).

And Magpies boss Eddie Howe has some major calls to make having spent most of the international break in Dubai for a warm weather training camp.

Howe will be relieved after the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon returned from international duty unscathed - although there was a blow delivered by the news Sven Botman is likely to remain on the sidelines until the midway point of next season after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.

There are a number of players already ruled out of action as the likes of Nick Pope, Callum Wilson and Joelinton battle their way back from injuries and Lewis Miley has now joined them in the treatment room after suffering a lower back injury on international duty with England under-19s.

But Howe could be handed a triple boost for the visit of West Ham with Kieran Trippier, Tino Livramento and Harvey Barnes pushing for a return from injury.
