Newcastle United issue ‘concerning’ injury update ahead of Liverpool clash

Eddie Howe has issued an update on Joe Willock, Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron following their withdrawals against Bournemouth.
Willock was the first to be forced off in the 35th-minute after picking up a hamstring injury. Saint-Maximin and Almiron were both substituted inside the remaining 10 minutes.

Newcastle United were held to their fifth draw in six matches - but extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches.
Howe’s side were made to pay for a poor start following Marco Sensei’s opener but equalised on the brink of half-time through Miguel Almiron - his 10th goal of the campaign.
“It was a tough game, we knew it was going to be,” Howe said. Bournemouth have a new energy, a lot of new signings and pace in their team.
