With Champions League football on the horizon, Newcastle United are on the lookout for improvements to their squad.

And one of the most prominent links is to that of Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai, of RB Leipzig.

While speculation has been rife of Magpies’ interest in the forward, the player has done little to dampen that when it comes to his social media activity.

Szoboszlai has starred for the German outfit in his time on the continent but has expressed his wish to play for a team in the Champions League.

And given the Magpies’ result against Brighton & Hove Albion - the win took Newcastle four points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool with just two games to play - the prospect of games in Europe’s premier competition feels closer than ever on Tyneside.

Szoboszlai has reacted in a positive manner.

Taking to Instagram, the player ‘liked’ a post by a popular social media account - 433 - who expressed the Magpies are “ONE win away from CL qualification”. The post was also liked by Newcastle United players Joelinton and Sven Botman.

The post will do little quell speculation of Szoboszlai to Newcastle United talk.
