Gallagher has returned to the Blues this season after an impressive loan spell with Crystal Palace, and he came off the bench over the weekend.

The Sun claim Newcastle are pushing for a deal to sign the midfielder, though Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel doesn’t want any more outgoings.

“In general, nobody is for sale, and everybody is for sale,” he said. “It depends on what the player wants, how bad the player wants it, what we think, who is ready to pay a certain amount of money.

“Then maybe everybody is for sale.”

Gordon blow

Speaking of Chelsea, the Blues could be set to make a move for a player Newcastle have failed to land this summer.

The Magpies were said to have submitted a £35million offer for Everton star Anthony Gordon, but they came up short.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are now set to make a £40million offer in a bid to seal the deal.

It will be interesting to see if Newcastle, who may still be in need of attackers, are sparked back into action.
