The likes of Nick Pope, Sven Botman and Matt Targett have already been snapped up, and Newcastle are likely to continue to add to their squad.

The Magpies will need to keep an eye on Financial Fair Play, having spent significantly in January, but there remains a margin to improve the squad even further.

Eddie Howe will still want to improve key areas ahead of the new season, and with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding St James’ Park:

Diaby offer

Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle over the last week.

And according to a fresh report from 90min, Newcastle are readying a club-record offer for Diaby after it emerged Leverkusen could sell for the right price.

The report claims Leverkusen could sell at £40million and that the Magpies may be willing to pay it.

Everton’s Anthony Gordon and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi are also said to have been considered as forward options this summer, but Diaby has emerged as the priority.

Tielemans interest

Newcastle are said to have joined the race to sign Leicester City star Youri Tielemans.

The Belgian midfield could well be on the move this summer, out of contract next year and so far resisting talks with the Foxes.

And according to CBS Sports, via the Mirror, Newcastle are now eyeing a move, with Tielemans set to be available on a cut-price fee of just £25million.

Arsenal are also said to be pushing a move for the Belgium international, with the Gunners investing significantly in new signings this summer.
