Newcastle United are set to be without Joe Willock for tomorrow’s Premier League clash at home to Liverpool, although the midfielder’s injury is not as bad as first feared.
The former Arsenal man was among three players forced off during the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth last Saturday. He was replaced by Anthony Gordon on 35 minutes.

Hide AdMagpies head coach Eddie Howe revealed his concern for Willock after the game on the South Coast after having his hamstring heavily strapped.
However, Howe has now confirmed the extent of Willock’s injury isn’t serious following scan results.
“Joe, we haven’t seen yet. I think he’ll be doubtful for the game tomorrow,” Howe said. “I don’t think it’s a big injury at all, so it’s a very minor complaint with his hamstring.
“We hope to get him back very quickly. Yeah, definitely, there’s a chance.”

Hide AdHowe also confirmed both Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron are fine after their enforced withdrawals during the close stages on the South Coast.
“We didn’t think Miggy’s was bad, he took a knock on his hand and it was enough for him to come off in the game but not enough to give him any long-term damage,” the 45-year-old said. Maxi was really quickly back on his feet, he was OK. I think pretty early we knew those injuries weren’t serious.
“Joe was the big concern but after a scan we got some good news that it’s not serious.”
As well as Willock, Matt Targett (heel) and Javier Manquillo (knee) are expected to miss the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s side, although are nearing a return.
Bruno Guimaraes, meanwhile, serves the final game of his three-match suspension. Callum Wilson could be in contention.
