Fabian Schar has hit out at his teammate after his goal was ruled out as offside last night at Goodison Park.

After speculation of injury keeping him out of the starting XI, the centre-back returned and even hit an absolute screamer into the back of the net which would have seen Newcastle United thrash Everton 5-1.

But it wasn’t meant to be as substitute Dan Burn was offside in the run up to the goal.

And now Schar has taken to social media to voice his frustration- albeit in a loving and forgiving way.

On Twitter, the Swiss international said: ‘Dan Burn [with a series of angry and laughing emojis]...still take the 3 points.’

The goal would have been Schar’s second of the season and his first in 2023.

Still, the Mags came out on top after a shaky start- putting four goals past Jordan Pickford. Scoring an outstanding 10 goals in their last two games, confidence is sky high as we head into the final games of the season.

And hopefully Schar will get his goal.
