When Newcastle United are on a winning streak it often means there’s no shortage of social media antics. And this week has been no different with two Magpies hilariously trolling their teammate.
Despite being sidelined, Harvey Barnes took to social media to share his love and appreciation for United fans for supporting him through his injury.

Eddie Howe has since confirmed the £38 million summer signing will be out until around January.
“We think he’s going to be out for around three months,” said Howe. “No surgery required which is good news but his foot is now in a boot. It’s an injury underneath his toe and he’s now starting his recovery.
“I think he’s going to be quite sedated for a period of time because he’s got to rest and give it every chance to recover and then we have to build him up slowly.”

‘What a result last night!,’ he wrote. ‘Thanks to all your support during my injury. I’m giving away a pair of signed match-worn boots! Just like and mention a mate in the comments to end the draw. The winner will be announced next Thursday 12th October.’
A lovely gesture from the ex-Leicester man, however the attention has been quickly turned away from the post itself due to a certain duo making a cameo in the comments section.
Hilariously, Sean Longstaff tagged teammate Jacob Murphy in the post in a joking bid to win the boots. With Newcastle’s resident joker Murphy replying with a series of crying laughing face emojis.
Now I’m sure if Longstaff really wanted some Harvey Barnes match-worn boots all he needs to do is ask.
