Hide AdTrippier marked his Premier League home debut with a stunning free-kick in the 3-1 win against Everton and repeated the trick against Aston Villa five days later.
However, the 31-year-old defender suffered a broken foot in the latter fixture and there were fears Trippier could miss the remainder of the season.
He was included in the United party that has travelled to Dubai for a warm weather training camp and he has taken to his Instagram account to deliver an update on his bid to return to fitness.
Trippier was shown working hard on an exercise bike with a message of: “Stepping training up, can’t wait to be back!”.

Hide AdSpeaking about the injury suffered by Trippier and top goalscorer Callum Wilson, Magpies boss Eddie Howe told the club website: “Callum’s injury, you have to be very careful with; that we don’t push him back too quickly and he ends up injuring himself again, because the Achilles/calf is a very delicate area of the body and you need to make sure it’s robust enough to withstand heavy load.
“Kieran’s is slightly different.
“(It’s) a bone injury and I think, touch wood, if he can come through the early stages of coming out in his boots and then progressing quite quickly, he’s one we could see back in action hopefully pretty soon.
“But with both injuries, I do think we have to be very cautious. We don’t want to re-injure the player.”
