Staveley has been integral to the continuous success of Becky Langley's side, championing the women's team ever since the takeover in 2021. United Women currently sit top of the FA Women's National League North after only just being promoted.

After Sunday's win, midfielder Georgia Gibson- who scored the winner- posted a photo of her and Staveley to social media.

"I think we did the gaffer proud," she wrote alongside a snap of the pair hugging on the pitch after the match.

Amanda Staveley posted her own message to social media, writing: "What. A. Team! Huge congratulations to @newcastleunitedwomen on their victory yesterday - we are off to the final!!"

Becky Langley has one more hurdle before winning some silverware for the club this season as Newcastle United Women will face Hashtag United in the final of the FA Women's National League Cup- which will be played on Women’s Football Weekend (23-24 March.)
