Newcastle United starting XI after January gallery - if the transfer window rumours are true
Is this how the Magpies could line up once the January transfer window closes on Tuesday night?
A monumental few days lies in wait for Newcastle United as they look to make progress on the pitch and in the transfer market.
Tuesday night brings the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final as they look to press home the slender advantage given to them by Joelinton when the Brazilian midfield grabbed the only goal in last week’s win at Southampton.
The anticipation over what should be a memorable night at St James Park is already growing and will reach fever pitch by the time kick-off comes around - but there will also be some focus on events away from the pitch as the game comes in the final hours of the January transfer window.
Everton winger Anthony Gordon is expected to become the Magpies first signing of the window as he closes on a move to Tyneside and Sunday morning brought news United had been successful with an offer for West Ham United defender Harrison Ashby.
But how could Eddie Howe’s side look once the window ‘slams shut’ on Tuesday night?
