'I need' - £15m striker makes Newcastle United request amid Callum Wilson contract decision
Will Osula is eyeing more minutes at Newcastle United as he looks to make the step up next season.
After catching the eye of assistant coach Jason Tindall during his brief stint at Sheffield United, the Magpies signed Osula from the Bramall Lane club last summer in a deal worth £15million. However, the 21-year-old is still waiting for his big chance to shine.

Hide AdOsula was restricted to 19 appearances last season, only three of which were starts and they all came in cup matches against lower-league opposition. But despite his limited involvement, Osula did find the net twice, first in a FA Cup third-round tie against Bromley and in the Premier League versus Ipswich Town.
The former Copenhagen academy striker is currently away on international duty with Denmark under-21s at the European Championship and has made an excellent start to the competition, scoring three goals and providing one assist in two matches. That includes a brace in his last outing as the Danes came from behind to beat the Netherlands 2-1.
Will Osula ready to make the step up at Newcastle United
Osula has received many plaudits for his performances so far and in an interview with Bold has indirectly warned Newcastle boss Eddie Howe that he needs game time to show what he can do.
With Callum Wilson set to leave St James’ Park when his contract expires on June 30, the Magpies will need a back-up to Alexander Isak. United are exploring a move for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Joao Pedro but Osula appears keen to make the step up.

Jason Tindall: Will Osula reminds me of a young Callum Wilson
Tindall compared Osula to Wilson earlier this year when asked how he caught his eye at Sheffield United. Tindall also tipped the Dane to have a big future at Newcastle amid some concerns surrounding his lack of game time,
Tindall said: “Just the raw pace that he has, reminds me a lot of a young Callum Wilson. He runs in behind extremely well. he's a goalscorer, great size, great athlete and he's got a fantastic attitude. And obviously when you're as young as Will, then, you know, you've got huge potential.
“Will Osula is developing really, really well here. And like a lot of players that we sign at the football club, certainly young players, the likes of Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento, etc, they have to be patient.

No plans to loan out Will Osula
Some believe Osula would benefit from a loan spell but Tindall revealed in April the club have no plans to arrange that.
“We've got no plans to sort of send Will out on loan, he's an important part of the squad right now and we know in football, things can change very, very quickly,” Tindall said.
“We've seen it time and time again throughout our managerial career, not just here. As I said, with the likes of Lewis Hall and Tino and young players especially, they probably do get a little bit impatient and frustrated at times, but it's important that they stay grounded, they keep working hard every single day and the work they put in on the training ground will go a long way to them.”
