The Magpies are in the market for a versatile forward in the summer window and have been linked with a whole host of names from home and abroad.

One of those, according to the Daily Mail, is Chelsea loanee Felix.

New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has already expressed his want to allow Felix to leave the Blues and return back to Atletico at the end of his loan, leaving the door open for other clubs to swoop.

And Felix has been offered around to clubs with another loan move likely to progress.

However, Newcastle are unlikely to be able to afford a deal for the player, who is thought to command wages of around £200,000 per week.

Instead, PSG are said to be considering a move.

Speaking about Newcastle’s limitations when it comes to wages, head coach Eddie Howe said: “We’re not huge players of wages in the Premier League, so the big clubs will all dwarf us in terms of that. That makes it hard to attract the very, very best players on the market.”
