Newcastle United will already be planning for next season as they cruise towards the end of the season.

Newcastle are said to have submitted a big-money offer for out of contract Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic.

According to CalcioMercato via HITC, the Magpies have submitted an offer worth £107,000 per week to land the Croatian.

Perisic is out of contract at Inter this summer, and he is not likely to get a new deal at San Siro.

According to the report, Newcastle are already making advances to land the 33-year-old., but there is likely to be some serious competition to seal the deal.

Newcastle are said to be considering a move for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Schmeichel has now been at Leicester for 11 years, first joining in 2011, but talkSPORT report that Brenden Rodgers is considering a change between the sticks.

In the meantime, Newcastle are said to be keen to add a new goalkeeper, and Schmeichel is one of the players being considered, according to the report.

The 35-year-old is a Premier League champion and an 80-cap current Denmark international.
