Newcastle United have suffered yet another fresh injury blow in their Premier League clash with Fulham.

The Magpies, already without a host of first-team players, including Alexander Isak, Harvey Barnes and Joe Willock, saw Fabian Schar pull up midway through the first half.

It looked like Schar suffered a hamstring problem, however that is yet to be confirmed.

Schar was replaced by right-back Emil Krafth, which saw Dan Burn, himself only recently returned from injury, go into centre-back.

Eddie Howe was already counting the cost of the defeat to AC Milan, having seen Isak drop out of the matchday squad with a groin problem.

Howe confirmed on Friday that he does not expect any of Barnes or Willock to return until January. He was, however, able to name Sven Botman in his squad for the first time since the 8-0 defeat of Sheffield United in September.
