The Magpies spent last week at the Adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach and rounded off their five-day training camp with a 3-1 win over German third-tier side SpVgg Unterhaching. Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak were on the scoresheet.
In midweek, United played against Burnley at the Lancashire club’s training ground, however, the match was never officially confirmed by the Magpies and the result hasn’t been disclosed. That is partly down to Sandro Tonali’s involvement with the Italian unable to play in official friendlies as per the conditions of his 10-month ban, which expires on August 29.
That means Tonali won’t feature against Hull but he won’t be the only one missing with a number of players missing, either through injury or recent international commitments. Here, NewcastleWorld takes a look at the players ruled out, and those that are doubtful.
