Arsenal are reportedly leading Newcastle United and a whole host of other clubs in the race to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Speculation surrounding the Belgian star’s future has increased in recent weeks as he approaches the final three months of his current deal at the King Power Stadium. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Tielemans has still continued to form a key part of Brendan Rodgers’ side, making 28 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes.

Speaking about the midfielder’s future in the final days of the January transfer window, Rodgers said: “I started this chat two years ago. I don’t know what can happen. My focus is on who’s here and we’ll see what happens. He’s only got a number of months left on his contract and this has been going on for two years. I’m not going to continue speculating. We’ll see what happens.”
The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle have all been linked with a move for Tielemans in recent months - but Football Insider are now reporting long-term admirers Arsenal are ‘well placed to agree an early deal’ to take the Belgian star to the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer this summer.

The Dutch Under-21 international has scored five goals and provided six assists in 28 appearances in all competitions despite his side languishing in mid-table in the Bundesliga.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has suggested Newcastle and Carabao Cup Final rivals Manchester United are both ‘tracking’ Frimpong with an eye to making a move for the defender in the summer.
