Eddie Howe is set to have the majority of his Newcastle United squad available for Saturday’s Premier League clash at Brentford (kick-off 3pm).
The Magpies have remained in the capital following Wednesday’s 5-1 win at Brentford. Howe provided the latest on the fitness of his squad at the London Stadium.
“It’s too early to say,” said Howe. “There probably will be a physical cost from the game but whether there are any fresh injuries or not, they take a day or two to surface. We’ve got a few aches and pains but I don’t know how serious.”
Howe’s men are searching for a fifth successive win when they visit the Brentford Community Stadium to further underline their credentials of finishing in the top four and therefore sealing a spot in next season’s Champions League.
