Two of the most in form teams are to meet at St James’ Park this weekend as Newcastle welcome Fulham in the Premier League. Despite being promoted just a few months ago, Fulham are defying the odds and are sixth in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, hosts Newcastle have also been in wonderful form and are still very much in the title race, currently occupying third spot. Their last league game ended in a stalemate against Premier League table toppers Arsenal.

Newcastle recently shook off a disappointing FA Cup third round defeat to lower league opposition as League One side Sheffield Wednesday beat them 2-1. But, a recent Carabao Cup quarter final win over Leicester sees Newcastle with a chance to reach Wembley.

It’s a quick turn around for Fulham, who recently beat their West London rivals Chelsea 2-1 at Craven Cottage. It was a nightmare debut for new Chelsea signing Joao Felix who was sent off.

Fulham made the extra man count as former Spurs striker, Carlos Vinicius, stooped in at the back post in the second half giving Fulham the lead as Kalidou Koulibaly’s second half equaliser cancelled out Willian’s opener.

When does Newcastle v Fulham kick off?

Newcastle v Fulham will kick off at 2pm on Sunday, January 15 at St James’ Park.
