Newcastle United hope last week's Tyne-Wear derby victory against Sunderland will reignite their season following a difficult run of form of late.
Before their 3-0 win at the Stadium of Light, Eddie Howe's side had lost seven of their last eight matches, which included exiting both the Carabao Cup and Champions League, as well as slipping to ninth in the Premier League table.
However, United's hopes of ending their 55-year trophy drought aren't lost quite yet after the Sunderland victory set up an FA Cup fourth-round tie away to Fulham.
Newcastle face two very tough league fixtures either side of their trip to Craven Cottage - starting with Manchester City this evening.

Pope underwent surgery on a dislocated shoulder earlier this month and won’t return until April at the earliest.
4. Matt Targett - out
Targett is recovering from hamstring surgery.
