Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly close to winning the race to sign England under-20s international Alex Scott from Bristol City.
The 19-year-old’s likely move to the Premier League has been two seasons in the making having starred during his 91 appearances for the Robins. Last season, Scott was named the Championship’s Young Player of the Year and earned praise from Pep Guardiola after an FA Cup tie with Manchester City in February.

As per Football Insider, Wolves have submitted an improved offer worth £20million. It is, however, believed that Bristol City are keen to hold out for another £5m.
Newcastle travel to Molineux on October 28 before the reverse fixture takes place at St James’ Park early March. United, too, are on the verge of a major signing with Harvey Barnes undergoing his medical ahead of his £38m move from Leicester City.
