Newcastle United’s starting XI to take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground is unchanged (kick-off 8pm).
There were concerns surrounding Fabian Schar’s fitness after reports in Switzerland claimed the defender had missed out on the national squad due to recurring foot pain.
The 31-year-old, however, is fine to start versus Forest and continue his centre-back partnership with summer signing Sven Botman.
There was a social media rumour that Sean Longstaff may miss out tonight after not being spotted in training photos this week but he stays in the three-man midfield alongside Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock.
Alexander Isak retains his place in attack ahead of Callum Wilson, who is on the bench, with Jacob Murphy and Allan Saint-Maximin either side.
There’s no Miguel Almiron in the matchday squad with the Paraguayan set to miss the next three weeks with an ankle injury sustained in training.

Murphy was a surprise starter against Wolves and impressed enough to keep his place at Nottingham Forest.

The Frenchman returned to the starting XI last time out. He appeared a little hesitant to take on the opposition but played a couple of important passes.
