Newcastle United’s confirmed line up v Wolves: £63m injury blow forces Eddie Howe into change

Newcastle United’s confirmed line-up versus Wolverhampton Wanderers: Eddie Howe makes one change.

Eddie Howe has been forced into one change to his Newcastle United starting XI for this evening’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers (kick-off 5:30pm).

Alexander Isak is out of the trip to Molineux after picking up a groin injury versus Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday. The Swede went for a scan on Friday with Howe set to reveal more after the game.

In his absence, Callum Wilson comes into the side to make his fourth league start of the campaign.

Further injuries to Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes, Sven Botman, Elliot Anderson and Lewis Miley sees United name a weakened bench with Emil Krafth returning to the matchday squad for the first time in over a year following his recovery from an ACL injury.

And Howe is without Sandro Tonali for the first time this season after his 10-month ban for illegal betting activity was ratified by FIFA last night.
