Newcastle United are preparing for the remaining nine games of the Premier League season - with survival firmly in their sights.
It’s been a campaign of huge change on Tyneside following the completion of the £305million Saudi Arabian-led takeover in October.
After a winless start to the 2021/22 campaign, Steve Bruce was sacked and replaced by Eddie Howe, and even the former Bournemouth boss took a little time to get going.
Indeed, Howe won just one of his opening nine matches, though January proved to be a major turning point.
Bolstered by the signings of Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Bruno Guimaraes, Dan Burn and Matt Targett, the Magpies went on a nine-game unbeaten run - winning six out of seven games - before that came to an end just before the international break.
Still nine points above the relegation zone, Howe’s men head to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon with the aim of sealing their top-flight status at the earliest opportunity.
And ahead of the trip to North London, we checked out WhoScored.com’s Newcastle player ratings from the season so far to see who they believe the club’s best and worst performers are.
