In truth, only Tino Livramento has justified his price tag from last year’s arrivals. Toon chiefs will be plotting their summer recruitment drive while balancing FFP/PSR constraints.

The Saudi-backed regime are placed under the microscope more than most and have made a concerted effort to stick within their boundaries. A fresh accounting year starts in June, allowing the Magpies to loosen the purse strings.
