Newcastle United's mammoth injury list compared to Man Utd, Liverpool, Aston Villa & more

How does Newcastle United's injury crisis compare to their rivals around the Premier League?

There was more positive news for Newcastle United as they battled their way past Championship club Blackburn Rovers to claim a place in Wednesday night's FA Cup quarter final draw.

After missing Saturday's 4-1 defeat at title-chasing Arsenal, Magpies goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was back in the starting eleven as the experienced stopper played a key role in helping his side come through a penalty shoot-out. Joe Willock was also named as a starter for the first time since a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth in November as he continues his comeback from an achilles problem.

But it was the return of Elliot Anderson that provided further cheer for Howe as his options in midfield were further boosted when the Magpies academy graduate made a late appearance as a substitute deep in extra-time after overcoming a serious back injury.

Although Howe's injury crisis is showing some signs of subsiding as the likes of Matt Targett and Nick Pope close in on a comeback, there are still several concerns for the Magpies boss as his squad remains one of the most depleted in the Premier League - but where do United sit compared to their rivals when it comes to injuries and unavailability?
