Newcastle United's new double absence as 19 players ruled out against Hull City

Newcastle United team news for the pre-season friendly against Championship side Hull City.

Eddie Howe has named his Newcastle United starting XI for this afternoon’s pre-season clash at Hull City (kick-off 2pm).

A senior XI starts at the MKM Stadium with the exception of Jamie Miley, older brother of Lewis, who makes his full Magpies debut.

Nick Pope starts in goal behind a back four of Tino Livramento, Emil Krafth, Dan Burn and Jamal Lewis. Joelinton, Miley and Lewis Hall are expected to form the midfield three with Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak in attack.

The team features two changes from last Friday’s 3-1 win against SpVgg Unterhaching with Sean Longstaff and Joe White absence.

The substitutes, excluding goalkeepers Odysseas Vlachodimos and John Ruddy, is made of academy players, who will likely play the second-half.

Newcastle are without 19 players in total - here they are full:
