Newcastle United’s position in the Premier League table - based on Eddie Howe’s games in charge ONLY

The Eddie Howe effect is in full flow after Newcastle United extended their unbeaten Premier League run to seven matches at the weekend.

The Magpies took a big step towards top-flight safety with a 2-0 win at Brentford on Saturday, which lifted the club up to 14th in the table.

Although the gap between Newcastle and the relegation zone is still only four points, the upturn in results of late has increased confidence of survival.

The start of Howe’s reign wasn’t always plain sailing but the hardwork is beginning to pay off with four wins from his last five games.

Supporters have lauded Howe’s impact since his arrival in November, which has sparked huge improvements from the likes of Joelinton, Joe Willock, Ryan Fraser and others.
