The Toon Army continue to climb the Premier League table

Newcastle United’s recent upturn in form continued on Thursday evening with a 2-1 win over Southampton.

Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes both scored their first goals for the club as Eddie Howe’s men battled back from behind on the south coast to pick up another vital three points.

After spending much of the first half of the campaign embroiled in a tense relegation battle, the Magpies have been almost unrecognisable in their success since the turn of the year.

Howe’s side now boast an unbeaten record stretching back nine matches, and have won six of their last seven top flight outings.

Those results have been enough to drag them 10 points clear of the drop zone, but how does their form compare to the rest of the division?
