The beta version of Football Manager 2023 has now been released as millions of gamers around the world take to the virtual dugout and try to lead their club to success.
There has been plenty of discussion over which clubs may used more than others on the newest version of the game and it is safe to say Newcastle United feature prominently in those discussions after last year’s PIF-led takeover at St James Park led to a return of hope and ambition for the Gallowgate faithful. With an ever-improving squad and a healthy transfer budget, virtual managers face an intense challenge as they look to deliver on the ambitious plans of the Magpies owners.
But how could the next 12 months look for Eddie Howe and his players? NewcastleWorld takes a look ahead with the aid of Football Manager 2023 and sees a number of highs and lows that lie in wait for the Magpies.
