Eddie Howe has named one change to his Newcastle United starting XI to take on Southampton - with Jacob Murphy in for the suspended Joelinton. The Magpies are looking to make it four Premier League wins in a row at St Mary’s.
Joelinton scored in United’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend but picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign moments later. Murphy, who started four consecutive games at the beginning of October, replaces the Brazilian on the left wing.
Allan Saint-Maximin is among the substitutes, as is goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who returns to the matchday squad for the first time since injuring his ankle in September. Lorius Karius drops out.
Newcastle United XI: Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, Dan Burn, Bruno Guimaraes, Sean Longstaff, Joe Willock, Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson, Jacob Murphy. Subs: Karl Darlow, Jamaal Lascelles, Jonjo Shelvey, Allan Saint-Maximin, Matt Targett, Javier Manquillo, Chris Wood, Ryan Fraser, Elliot Anderso.
